I'm currently trying to build lean muscle. My only concern is gaining that belly back, which I worked hard to get rid of. I eat correctly, 5-6 healthy and protein enriched meals per day. I typically finish my workout at 6PM and consume two scoops of whey with 16oz of milk directly after. I try to eat every 2-3 hours, typically closer to three. I was wondering how long one should wait to eat a meal after consuming their protein shake? Should I treat this as a meal and wait until 8:30 - 9:00 to eat my next meal or could I consume a meal around 7:30-8:00? I've read that extra calories, good nor bad, turn into fat if the body cannot use them correctly. Thanks in advance for the help.
