    Not a lot of training this week, just a bit of cardio; hubby is progressing slowly, very slowly. I think doctors and surgeons should lay things out fully so that people know exactly what they are in for during the recovery process.

    We'll get there, one day at a time, but seems very slow at present. Thanks for asking

    One way to stretch it is to stand on the edge of a curb/stair and drop your heel to the ground... if you can't feel a good stretch try slightly bending your knee. (pict 1) For me I have to do the curb thing and bend over to touch my toe... that's a killer stretch. You can also put your toe against a wall and move your body towards the wall til you feel a stretch (pict 2)

    Hi there, thanks for message.
    I know you have heard it over and over again but DIET was the most important for me. I counted calories and everything (Check out what your BMR is and try stick to it as much as possible). I did allow 1 cheat day a week - you have to otherwise you would go crazy haha!!!
    Regarding the training - I mixed weight with cardio. In the beginning I was running twice a day (20min morning and 20/30min evening). I also trained 6x a week. It was intense but I saw results quickly. The key is to incorporate it into your lifestyle so that it is something you start enjoying. Set challenges for yourself and also reward yourself when you achieve them.
    This website is AMAZING though - I have learnt pretty much everything I know off here so just spend time reading and asking questions

    the only supplements I use are xtend (during/post workout, and on recovery days), whey protein, and multivitamins. From what I've heard about creatine, it mainly just fills your muscles with water, makin them look bigger. It's not a supplement I'm a fan of and definitely not recommended for beginners

    what kind of tips are you lookin for? I've ran for pretty much 12 years haha... so I have a lot of experience
