    Default Diet critique

    Hey, if you have a minute for contructuve citicism, that would be great

    Diet currently takes the form of:
    *Morning-protein shake, porridge oats
    *Snack - pasta and honey or special shake of bannana, strawberries, milk, oats and peanut butter
    *Lunch - large chicken baguette (sometimes southern fried!) with lettuce and peppers
    *Snack - 3 slices wheaten bread with honey and 2 slices ham.
    *Dinner - (happy times ) Potatoes/pasta/rice with chicken/steak/mince
    *hour before bedtime - protein shake and frozen berries.

    Trying to bulk healthily and am trying my best to do this without weight gain supplements but the BMR recommends 4500 cals which is flippin mad! Surely cant be true can it?!? Havent put on much weight (except some stomach fat so I cut the carbs before bed) in weeks of training. Not overly frustrated by the lack of progress but slightly confused. Do i really need 4500. I estimate my current diet to be around 400

    Currently working out 3 days a wk with 4 hours mountain biking on a saturday (most weeks) but I do eat a good bit more on a sat to offset the potential loss in mass gained. (yeah, cardio and bulking but biking means the world )

    Any thoughts? Thanks

    Currently weigh about 153 pounds, 5ft 10 in height or so and 21 yoa.

    actually, dont think i calculated that intake correctly. Used the tool on this site and its giving it as 2700 cals.
