    Default Howdy everyone

    Hey everyone!
Wow am I glad I found this site.

EXCELLENT site, especially love the nutrition section, would love to see some more healthy recipes.

    Anyways, some background.

Worked out heavily from around grade 8 --> early grade 11. Unfortunately I tore some central chest muscles while doing dips and never saw a doctor (Sigh, teenage stupidity) which halted chest development for a VERY long time, I continued to do ab and bicep work outs for the next couple of years, but almost everything else was out, including sports. Stopped working out completely around 3 years ago and became pretty soft. Got up to 190lbs (my heaviest yet). Several years later I've finally started working my chest again.

I've been working out seriously for around 8 months now. Originally cut down to 170lbs and started adding muscle and am now a "much more lean" 184lbs (still no six pack!.. actually started packing on some fat around the waist again as well, new protein shake is way higher in calories than last and I haven't adapted yet).
After doing some reading I've really started working out my chest successfully.
    I'm currently doing 210lbs x10 x3 on a stationary set-up flat bench.
55lbs per hand doing dumbells flat and decline.
40lbs per hand doing incline (by far my weakest, central chest is starting to build though)

Anyways, just thought I'd let everyone know where I'm coming from. I'm definitely nowhere near where I'd like to be (maybe not even 1/4 of the way there) but I've added 12" to my chest already and hope to keep on adding.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.
    Cheers!

EDIT: In case anyone is wondering in terms of weight to height ratio, I'm 6'0 tall.

Way to get back into lifting! Make sure you get your diet down and get a good workout routine. Also make sure you are squatting, I can't emphasize how important it is. And since your goal is to build muscle, use this sites BMR calculator and add 500.

That sounds painful man!! 12" chest gain is nice man! Maybe you could answer a question I have: where abouts do you measure your chest at? The largest 'projection'? Cheers man!
