    Default Wanna get Cut by May! Can I do it?

    In reality I just want to know if im on the right track, going on a 2 week vacation in May but looking to lean out and live healthier.

    Currently:

    26yo
    6"0
    175lbs
    18% bodyfat

    (I do have a picture in my gallery)

    My routine:

    Intense cardio everymorning on an empty stomach for 20Minutes everyday.

    4-5 days a week weight lifting not overly intense but heavy for 30mins each session.

    Todays Diet:

    Breakfast

    -Grapefruit
    -Protien Shake
    -Oatmeal
    -2 Eggs
    -Scoop Cottage Cheese

    Snack
    -2 Scoops Peanut Butter
    -Apple
    -2 Eggs

    Lunch:
    -Broccoli
    -Cottage Cheese
    -Protien Shake

    Snack
    -2 Scoops Peanut Butter
    -Black Coffee

    Dinner
    -Chicken on Pita
    -Yogourt
    -Carrotts

    Before bed
    -Protein Shake
    -Scoop cottage cheese

    Alo tof water during the day as well

    How much weight do I need to loose to get to 10-11% bodyfat?

    Any more advice on how to get lean?

    Hey whats goin on bro... let's see if i can sort some stuff out.

    #1. i think you're actually lower than 18% body fat from looking at your picture (if thats recent)

    #2. how "intense" are you doing your cardio in the morning... you'll want to be careful, because if you go too intense on an empty stomach you'll end up burning muscle as your fuel. Aim for about 60% of your maximum heart rate... you will want to shoot for 116-126 beats per minute. You can find this by taking your pulse for 6 seconds and then multiplying that number by 10 while you're doing your cardio

    #3. your diet looks pretty clean for the most part... your carbs (at a very quick glance) look kind of high compared to protein intake. I would aim to get about 40% of your calories from protein, 40% from carbs and then about 20% from good fats

    #4. you need to lose roughly 12 pounds to get down to that body fat level (and when i say lose 12lbs i mean 12 lbs of pure fat). With this in mind, you can try and lose around 1.5lbs per week for a total weight loss time of roughly 8 weeks (assuming the perfect / flawless diet and training)

    #5. i would advise you to increase the amount of morning cardio to around 40min

    #6. HERE is a thread that will throw out some "get lean" tips... its a good one

    You better mean to say ur going on vacation AFTER the slipknot concert may1st, Ricoh Colluseum.. I have my tickets, and I expect to see ya there

    Im in Sudbury btw, I was just in Newmarket for a week..

    Oh and if you are interested, Lamb of God April 16th.. same place.

    Looking solid so far mate, and I gurantee you are under 18%. So thats some more good news for you

    You have a talking scale? Freaking amazing! In all seriousness, those bioelectric impedence scales can be way off. Check out Doug's thread on calculating your bf% and see how the numbers compare. -EK

    Mmm your under 18% body fat.... lol... i'm 18% body fat, via a machine that sends electrodes through my body at the doctors.

    I cant see my 6 pack yet.... <_< (But it's there! i know it!)

    At 18% body fat you would have approx 15 lbs to lose to get to 10%, I would say that you would find it extremely difficult to get to 10% in the short time that you have before May

    You can certinly make some good progress before your hols even if you dont get to 10%

    Your protein looks a bit high for breakfast!
