    Default Replacing Carbs

As i've been taking my diet more seriously i've found most of the things i eat are carb heavy and do not eat a lot of protein throughout the day. I've been making up for the protein intake with shakes but would like to find out what everyone eats throughout the day that is high in protein or at least low carb.

Most importantly while trying to eat those 5 meals a day what small protein "snacks" can i eat to keep my levels up all day.

I'm a huge Bagel/Fruit for breakfast and am snack guy with a sandwich/sub thrown in there for lunch with some sorta chicken or steak for dinner.

peanut butter, milk, tuna, steak, chicken, fish, eggs, etc. There are lots of great items you can add to the diet that have high protein in them

fruit is good so stick with that... a big point to make is to stick with low GI fruits such as cherries, kiwi, blueberries, watermelon, grapefruit.. etc.

as far as what i eat throughout the day....

breakfast: egg sandwich, basically consisting of 4 egg whites / 2 whole eggs and 2 piece of whole wheat toast

for snacks, i usually do a shake with say a cup of blueberries, 6oz 1/2% milk, and some natural PB... or i'll do a slice of toast w/ pb and a low fat, low sugar, natural fruit yogurt

main meals: anything from chicken, turkey, salmon (favorite), etc with some brown rice and broccoli

Breakfast: Take out of bagel and replace it with protein shake with fruit or eggs, toast, and oatmeal.

Lunch: Cancel the subs/sandwiches and replace with tuna sandwiches or chicken mixed in rice with veggies

Dinner: Chicken / turkey /salmon with complex carbs and veggies

Snacks: More protein shakes, eggs, chicken side dishes, protein bars, wraps with chicken...

    Follow your P/C/F ratio to a "T"
