    Default Forearm Vein Pain

I've been having a weird pain in the large vein that runs down the outside of my right forearm. Whenever I am exercising and using my forearms heavily it seems to ache...rather feel discomfortable...not sure how to explain it but it happens when the vein seems to swell up with blood. Has anyone heard of this before?
Or is it just muscle pain or something else and I'm imagining it??

What kind of exercises aggravate (I know forearm) but what moves in particular. Have you tried alternate exericises with better or worse results?

If I make a fist like I'm about to donate blood it will start to feel weird after a few seconds. Kind of hurts but I think I'm getting used to it.

Also picking up heavy dumbbells, making a tight fist, doing shrugs, anything where my hand is below my heart. If my hand is above my heart (bench, etc...) where it's heavy weight and a tight fist I feel fine. I think it's too much blood in the vein or something...?

Might it be that the muscle is getting very tight? What happens when you do forearm stretching?

Yesterday I think I figured out what caused all of this. Doing barbell curls, when I get to the top my wrist has to turn so much compared to my elbow it twinged in pain there.

Yitmy, when I stretch it feels better. I think I've been lifting heavier weight than my grip can support so I'm doing forearm curls to help build up some more strength there.

I think it just happens that I have a huge vein over the length that hurts so it confused me.

So you learned something and that is the structure that hurts is muscular. Vascularity usually does not cause discomfort. Note also reverse bicep curls usually causes discomfort in the forearm and this is usually aleviated with stretching. SO when you build tissue make certain that you stretch afterwards,

=) Thank you for the advice. I've been stretching out my forearms more and it's been getting better.
