Question I just started lifting well kind of

I mean I've kinda been lifting on and off since I was in 8th grade but not properly. So yeah I just had to kind of admit to myself that I am novice. I started working out and started a beginner workout. Dougs 12 workout for beginners. It's only 2 days a week for 8 weeks. ON the 7th week it switches to spit. Mon- upper, wed-lower, fri- upper alternate week Mon-lower wed-upper thur- lower. after 12 weeks i'll do a different one. anyway I was thinking about doing 30 min HiiT as soon as I get up. Then maybe 30 min Li cardio pre and post workout. Is that too much? i mean people I'm on a 500 deficit. I'm pry about 40-45 lbs overweight and thought that would be the best thing to do. Can sombody help me????

yes its a lot of cardio,
    Whats ur age now ?

Remember this If you get ur diet correctly you dont even need cardio more than 30mins
    I suggest
    10min LIT
    5min HIT
    10min LIT
    5mins HIT
    10mins LIT

im in a similar situation, workinprogress. i think i heard im carrying about 40 lbs. of fat mass and im looking at maintaining if not building more lean muscle mass while reducing bodyfat. i'm very confused and will soon post my own question seeking clarification from my personal quest to combine the wealth of knowledge here into a more personal plan.
I'll report back here when i get some feedback, maybe it will help you as well.\
    take care
