well i woundn't advice on bulking for 14 years old at all. as i know lifting weights at this young age might slow down the growth of your body( not the muscular growth but height growth)
current situation: 70 KGs. bulking untill i get 75-77 kgs.

As long as you know how much to take.

If you do take Protein Powder, take Whey Protein Isolate, it's high quality and without fat and without cholesterol. Just pure protein. The rest are too fatty.

my opinion is No ....you don't need protein powder at your age because your body already produces so much things and its waste of money now....Just eat whatever your mum cooks ..try to eat 4-5 small meals a day ......avoid junk food and to many sweets...Just eat clean and you will be OK

I agree. Eat protein-rich meals (fish, chicken, beef). Avoid eating chips and candy and stuff like that. Make sure you're drinking enough water. Eat LARGE breakfasts.

I disagree with some people and think protein would be a great addition. Especially if you workout(correctly) and have a good diet I think it can help you tons now and in the future.

Yeah it should be fine for you to take, but make sure you dont get carried away with it. Remember its a supplement, not a replacement

I did a whole research paper on teen bodybuilding and 95% of researchers and doctors say as long as the individual is producing testosterone weight lifting, bulking and cutting is acceptable. As for protein powder, that's just a supplement and it's fine for anyone to take. I know mothers that put protein powder in their baby's bottles if they are protein deficient. I would discuss all of this with your doctor as well before doing anything at all.

    Chick Peas
    Milk
    Baked Beans

    Default 13??

At the age of 13 working hard on muscle building is quite dangerous.

For 1 you will completely wreck your growth platelets and chances are you will not grow as much as you are suppose to at all.

And no I would not recommend taking protein shakes at your age, for 1 in most countries you have to be 16 to buy them anyway, and they are this way for a reason.

incorrect, I did a research paper on teen bodybuilding and all my research concluding that as long as the individual had hit puberty and was produing testosterone that weight lifting would not affect growth or do any harm to the body unless unproper form or diet was used. Techincally with you're knowledge no one under 22 should weightlift because techinically they are still growing and "could damage their growth platelets".

Now as far a protein powder goes their is nothing wrong with protein powder for anyone. I know mothers who fed their premature babies protein shake to help give them more nutrients, they were told to do so by doctors orders. All that is in protein powder is BCAA's which are amino acids which is in any meat you eat as well as a faster digesting protein.

My opinion consult doctor first then have at it. Train hard, but smart!

WHAT? lol protein shakes are ok at 16.. and you dont need to be 16 to buy them..

Try to eat as much food as possible first then maybe add a protein shake if you cant get enough with food. But remember food is the best supp of all time. Food first supps last

assuming you can have milk as a vegetarian it is not allt hat hard to get your daily amount of protein

get some protein rich bread - nuts - whole grains - eggs - milk - beans of pretty much any kind (hummus on whole grain pitas, etc). must of my diet is pretty much vegetarian actually, come to think of it.

I know for a fact in the UK you have got to be over 16 for weight gainers as I am only 16 myself and I was unable to buy them from Holland And Barratt, and my friend gets the Maximuscle stuff from Argos, and he was ID'd for them as well.

I have the same problem mate I'm also allergic to eggs and lactose so its even harder for myself. Try Quorn, its low in fat, and very high in protein, and it doesn't taste too bad

Although I have been basically forced to eat Fish by my trainer, I don't agree with it at all, but I have seen the benefits since, and I have felt better in myself. (I'm not trying to persuade you to stop being a vege, stick to your morals, I admire people who can stick to morals so strong as this)

what you're saying is completely false if the young man has started puberty and has confirmed weight training with his doctor. I started lifting when I was 12 years old and porducing testosterone and I was 5' 11" and now I'm 6' 2"

we dont know if he has confirmed anything with his doctor, now do we? Im not saying DUDE you GONNA STAY SHORT. What i mean is that its been common thought that supplementing and hard lifting at 13 years old is LIKELY to hinder your growth, he hasnt even grown into his body yet for Gods sake! dont take it so literal my friend. I think he ought to focus on a good diet and some decent lifting until he is older. just because your body developed a certain way doesnt mean HIS body will too

don't give me that nono crap, you need to learn reading comprehension bro! I told him he should talk to his doctor first I never said his doctor confirmed lifting for him was fine, also you did say DUDE you GONNA STAY SHORT because in your previous thread you said just this "dude you're gonna stay short, Im telling ya. Just be a kid for a few more years and start when you're 16. no joke", another thing is diet should be you're number one focus when lifting whether you are 13, 25, or 65 and protein powder is not a dangerous supplement by any means, finally a 16 year old hasn't techincally grown into their body either, as a human you don't really stop growing until you're 20-21 that's one reason for the drinking age being 21 is heavy drinking not only damages a humans body, but especially one that hasn't fully grown.

Do you research before you post, I worked a whole school year on teenage weight training and bodybuilding.
