To lower yourself down, to add power you can location weights on your thighs, but you would require a spotter to proceed them when you have presented your set

if you implore strict form you could move to the chin up / pull up machines , they usually have 2x bars that run on parallel from them that are intended for dips...doing your full body weight and or even adding more weight is possible this way and you don't need a spotter....

would that work to doug ?

I've found that pushups where you bend your elbows like you're doing a close grip bench press works well to blow out your traps. Like just bend your elbows in and get a closer grip.

Excellent information. Thsnk you!!! I'm going to change my overhead extension to the close grip bench press today and see how that works. I also do skullcrushers. Will see how I feel maybe I can do some diamond push ups.

Very nice tips above, but for me the most burn I get for triceps workout is from dips. I currently have a small horseshoe on my arm, but the dips are making them more defined.

I have always done exercises that worked the lateral head and so that head is much larger than all the others. The head that is on the inside of my arm is tiny.

Thanks for the tips. Your suggestions on using cables for shoulder isolation work has made a huge difference in my workouts, so I'm considering doing the same for arms. I would love doing Close grip bench press, and dips.

The most essential thing is to not emphasize lifting heavy. Remember that the elbows are fragile joints. Work the triceps instead of trying to work the weight. I know a lot of guys who try to ego lift and hoist heavy weights, but that’s not what bodybuilding is all about. What matters is how much stress you can apply to the muscles.
