    Default Martial Arts

I've been doing Krav Maga for a while now, 2 days a week. I find it a very enjoyable yet intense form of cardio as well as the added benefit of learning some great techniques to literally destroy someone in any situation.

I'm just having a little difficulty in identifying how much calories a 1 hour session of martial arts burns? My instructor estimates between 500-800 calories and other online sites estimate around 600-700 for martial arts. Just wondering if anyone here has had experience or use martial arts as a form of cardio and getting fit? Any ideas as to how reliable those figures are?

Martial arts is a good way to get fit and also lose some. How much is burnt in one lesson will vary a lot. It depends on how intense you make it, how long, how much you weigh etc.
