Default When your environment affects ability to workout

I've been lifting 4 days a week religiously for 1.5 months and now find myself on vacation. I went to the hotel gym but found it extremely lacking (there was not even a flat bench)

I'm unable to do most of my exercises in this facility so I'm wondering what I should do.

    1. Do I do whichever exercises I can do?
    2. Maybe just do bodyweight stuff?

I'm reluctant to take a break because in about a week and a half I'll be backpacking for 2 weeks, which means absolutely no lifting (bodyweight maybe)

If there is a gym nearby, you can look into a guest pass. Often they are not terribly expensive for a few days. Other than that, about all you can do is whatever you are able to with your current resources.

Even if you end up taking 3 wks completely off (including your backpacking), it's not the end of the world. Just remember that lifting is a lifelong pursuit, so any backslide is only a small temporary setback which you can overcome. Enjoy your vacation and backpacking, and don't sweat it. Then get right back to it.

    ^ Yep.

As long as they have barbell, you should be able to do a good overall routine for the body for the few days you're there. Do whatever you can with what is available.

No barbell, but they have enough dumbbells that I think I can get some work done
