    Default Fasting

For the next 30 days i have to fast from sunrise to sunset. Where i live thats 4am to 9 pm roughly. I was just wondering what/how should i eat before my fast starts at 4 and what/how should i eat when i end my fast at 9 pm.

Also when should i go for runs? I usualy sleep around 11 so should i run during my fast? Or should i do it immediately after i eat? or should i jsut cut it out completely until im done the month of fasting?

from what i hear, after a few days you will get used to it. So you may be able to still run. Seams like this would be a good month to cut. Otherwise a Casein Protein shake in the morning would probley help.

Too bad you cant reverse your meal order. Eating your calories during what normally is a fasting time for everyone. But I cant see setting an alarm for 2am to eat a meal. But you may have to be creative, and probably do your run at a normal period after your last meal of the morning. You wait to late in the day, and you might find yourself burning muscle, since your stomach is empty. (Thats a guess. Someone with more experience might give better info).

I would look up interval fasting if I were you. I dont know much about it but based on what I know, you eat nothing for 16 hours, then consume your daily calories in the next 8 hours, repeat. Maybe this can work for you.

One of my friends does Ramadan too. He finds he is super hungry, then he adapts to it. He doesn't lose any muscle mass, its mainly fat loss he finds. He isnt built like a tank or anything, but he is fairly built and does martial arts.
