Today was a great work out but due to sunburn from taking my boat out yesterday . Squats were nasty but i made it through. Before working out I cooked me and my wife a 12 oz ribeye steak each and 2 scrambled eggs. An hour and a half later we warmed up with 5 minutes each on the elliptical.

    Squats
    135x12
    185x12+1 rep
    205x11

    Bent Over barbell rows
    135x12
    145x12+1 rep
155x12 +2 reps. felt good so I went for it

    Dumbell shoulder press
    65'sx11+1 rep
    65's x10
    65's x 11

    Bench Press
    135x12
    155x11
185x10+1 rep but not easy. Pushed with all I had for that 10th rep

    Barbell curls
    80x10 +1 rep
    80x10+1 rep
    80x10 same

    Bw dips
    Bwx10 all 5 sets

    Calf Raise's
    165x17 same
    165x18+1
    165x18+1

THis was a good work out but as I said the sunburn really messed with me so since I still progressed on every lift, I will give myself an A+ for this session.

Abs will be a 15 minute dvd tomorrow along with some steady cardio on an elliptical.
Another note , THis weekend we played Cabbage ball(base ball with a soft large ball) and I ran full speed more then I have in 2o years. My hamstrings , calves and shins wer so sore going into this work out that I did not think i was going to be able to do it.
I warmed up and then used a foam roll to losen the muscles and after the first set of squats, all was good.
Health and feeling good is my goals.

No I tried to view it and even down loaded the player you told me about . Could not get it to work. However I'm not that great at computer files.
Thanks and good luck on your work out

I got the New Elliptical set up, Now I have to start using it. Tonight will be 15 minutes of abs dvd and 30-45 minutes of cardio on the elliptical. I have to start dropping some of this belly fat off for summer. Although I look forward to bulking starting around september

    Squats cure Cancer. Fact.

Great session buddy. FWIW I think you should start doing 3 sets AMAP for the dips now (keep the rests to 30 seconds), they will burn the chest like mad, and really finish off the session well.

    great workout mate, superb progression.

Thanks Carl, Ill do that tomorrow on my next session. I have a question, could I superset the dips with curls or would it benefit me any?

I wouldnt personally. I found the curls a good repreive from the chest and shoulders to be honest before the dips so you can really give them your all. Plus you would then essentially be increasing the the time between dip sets rather than Decreasing it.

Just my opinion mate, you could try it and see how it feels though, up to you buddy

TRUE. I am progressing like it is so i will stick with it. Only thing is to change to the 3 sets of amap on dips.

I will be adding weight on a few exercises by the end of the week and starting back at 8 reps . Pretty excited about that

    WEEK 3 DAY 2

start time 10:30 end time 11:45

Today was another good day for the most part. I drank 2 lg cups of coffee and had a Dymatize elite gormet whey/cassien vanilla shake with a Atkins Peanut butter /chocolate bar mixxed in it. This was delicious.
1hr 30 minutes later I done 5min on elliptical to warm up and mixxed me a Extend drink with 4 scoops for my work out.

    Squats
    135x12
    185x12
205x12 +1 rep. will be going up on weight and dropping reps back to 8 next round.

Barbell Rows upped weight and reset reps back to 8
    140x8
    150x8
    160x8

    Behind the neck dumbell press
65'sx11( my wife counted 12 but im sticking with 11 so i dont shoot to high next time)
    65'sx11 +1 rep
    65's x 11

    Bench Press

    135x12
    155x12+1 rep
185x7 paused 10 seconds and did last 3 for 10 reps.( narrowed grip a little this session)

    Barbell curl
    80x11+1 rep
    80x10
    80x10

Dips only resting 30 seconds between sets at body weight
5 sets of 10 reps. Barely finished since making sure not to rest to long. will start week 4 with 3 sets of As many as posible

    Barbell calf raise
    165x18+1 rep
    165x18
    165x18

    Abs
    Leg lifts on power tower
3 sets of 15 straight leg

    Ab crunches on ball
    2 sets of 20

Due to time we are going to stick with abs on work out days and just cardio on elliptical on off days.

Today was a good day I hate that I did not get all 10 reps on my heavy set on bench press but I know that I improved on shoulder press which made benching harder. Also not resting as long since my wife is getting use to setting her own weight bar up . Not sure how much Narrower grip (1 finger width) had to with it.
I will say it was a good session but I am only giving myself an A-

I had a protein shake with 2 cups of 2% milk 2 scoops of Elite Gourmet whey/casein protien, 5 grams of Dymatize Creatine monohydrate.
Now going to eat a bowl of my wifes awsome Beef Stew.
Health and feeling good is my goals.

I would also like to point out that my wife is working this routine with me. In the 3 weeks that we have been doing this, she has lost 3 lbs but really gaining some muscle to her. We have both been working out for 2 years but in 3 weeks we are seeing changes better then any routine i have used for us yet.

Thanks ben, I love progressing the way I do on the reeves classic. This routine is the best I have used in 2 years of lifting.
Some of the gains could be from taking test charge too. I started my first cycle the same day I started the reeves classic .
I will be doing a second cycle since whatever is doing it is working.

    http://www.muscleandstrength.com/store/test-charge.html

this, I am still on my first cycle. I have been dropping weight yet gaining strength on it. I just bought my 2nd cycle but still have almost a week on this bottle left then a week off before I start the second cycle.

I also just bought some roxylean to help cut the fat down but with the way im losing weight now, Im holding off before i even fool with that stuff. I am doing one more cycle of the TEST CHARGE while cutting but in September when im bulking, I am going to run a couple cycles since it makes me gain strength cutting, it should be awsome on a bulk.

    Great work in here mate.

With the claf raises are they BB calf raises ? If they are try loading up the bar with 10lbs MORE than your top squat weight and then do them. You core gets smoked, plus you train your body to get used to having that much weight across your shoulders so when you move up in the squats it doesnt terrify the crap out of you.

You will be surprised the Calf raise has a very small ROM and you will be able to shift A LOT of weight

I'll go up on weight with the calf raise but I don't think I'll be getting more then 12 reps.
I do like how my traps stand up while doing calf raises though

Perhaps try it at the same weight as the last set on squats first, you'll get the reps buddy
