    Man i am glad I'm not deadlifting today. Did he do something wrong there or was it just a bad day?

    That is nasty, if its as painful as you'd think, he takes it pretty well.

    Like he says, to get his grip his arm starts to curl instead of being straight which puts a lot of strain on the bicep. Not sure it's fully avoidable but keeping a straight arm and not trying to lift with the bicep will put you at less risk.

    **** can happen for no reason at all, but when you deadlift you should avoid the over-under grip for this reason. I would say it's because his arm started to curl during the lift and the biceps tendon just couldn't handle it.
