oh my god (worth spelling out lol), that all looks SO freaking good....but the burger is moo'ing still! I wish i could still eat that kind of food. I would've taken a pic of the no-sugar oatmeal i had this morning but bore me lol. Seriously, do you cook yourself Layze? I LOVE to cook, and always, even though i don't get home from work until 5:30 p.m., make some dinner nightly, that requires a lil bit of effort, for my boys. I don't let myself eat it, but i do get some joy out of watching them eat it.

I cook everything, and i just fitday the stuff I use to make sure it hits my calories/macros for the day. Most of my baking mix's are organic or complete pancake/waffle mix's that i use in my breads. Very simple. I posted the recipes in Layzie's Recipes section in here as well (search that thread)

I think i need to move in with you LayzieBone! Pumpkin pancakes rock and yours look fantasticI do the same thing in altering/substituting anything i can in a recipe to make it "healthier" for you, and i'm always trying new things...cooking is a release for me, even though i'm usually cooking for someone else. I love seeing your food pics, so don't stop, okay?

Nothing is fried, and what is wrong with White Bread? Nothing. GI Index has nothing to do with white bread (since its based off eating a carb source with no other product) and i get plenty of vitamins and minerals through my diet and multi-vitamin.

Broscience is strong in that statement. You got some pub-med reading to do and i suggest reading alan aragon's main website as well as Lyle McDonald's (bodyrecomposition.com and alanaragon.com)

Honestly, i was thinking the same thing...about your food looking like "cheats" because it looks so good, seriously.

I took a pic with my phone just now of my breakfast....at the office lol.

Low sugar oatmeal with yummy lil apples (220 cals.) I know it doesn't look that great, but i've actually grown to love oatmeal! God, i wonder if it's because i'm getting old...i'm probably going to start liking maple glazed donuts next! (ha ha ha). I'm kidding...oatmeal, when you are watching your calories, is such a great choice.

i didnt know what paleo was. so i googled it. wow!!! it makes sense but you have to remember we are in an environment that is totally carbs and sugars and low fat and low protein. the stats about vegans having lost 5% of their brain size over 5 years because they ate no 20 or 22 chain fats which come only from animals is crazy.

it is a 30 min lecture but worth a watch.
    http://paleodietlifestyle.com/the-importance-of-fat/

i like my meat and my fat and i eat enough to satisfy my cravings for it. i also try to eat filling carbs. i stay away from sugars.

i would like to see what some one has to say about the idea of why the body needs carbs to grow when protein and fat are really all that is needed to survive.

maybe to get a lot larger we need grains but to stay healthy we definately need esential fats and protein.
