    Default Reality Check

I came across this today and really wanted to share it because way to many people (male/female) become obsessed and overly concerned with how they compare with the media’s standard of perfection, to the point of serious depression and self esteem issues, and i think it very cool what Jesse Meriwether (the "lint licker girl" from the Orbit commercials) did out of learning another beautiful girl had taken her own life due to poor self image.

We are all beautiful people, no matter anyone else's opinion based on outwardly appearance. Uniqueness is what makes us all beautiful...we should not crave to look like anyone else.

    Great post, ME.

The only person I constantly compare myself to is myself.

What did I look like 6 months ago? A year? 2 years?

How are the small clothes fitting on me, if they even can?

I find this to be far more beneficial as compared to comparing myself against photoshopped and rendered pics of people which are more than likely enhances in some way.

Thank you for sharing this ME. I think a lot of people get really caught up in comparing themselves to the media and it can be very detrimental.

it's sad, really, and we all fall for it to some degree, wanting that "model look", but maybe they should consider making it part of a course in high school...the "falsity of models in magazines/commercials", etc...actually showing the technique used, so that children in their most impressionable years, can learn not to associate/compare the real them with the unrealistic "pin up".

Big Exercises FIRST. Finishing Touches Later ALWAYS

"Here's the thing...Something like 80% of the population doesn't even workout. Out of the 20% that do 80% don't squat... And out of the 20% that do squat, maybe 10% of those actually SQUAT! Not smith machine squats, not 1/4, not 1/2, or 2/3 squats, but actual squats... So call me surprised when I see someone doing 2/3 plate full ROM squats so effortlessly"

While I do agree with what you wrote, the woman is making a face, lol. You should see how I look when making faces. I would like to see a pic of her without make up, and not making a face, in order to really see the difference. Again, I agree with the gist of your post.

I was thinking the same, that girl is beautiful. Its crazy how women are under attack by the media with crazy standars or beauty and perfection.

I just will say like advice for the girls, dont try to find beauty with external things fake hair color, tons of make up, plastic surgery, etc. find the real you and accept it, its your natural beauty and the more happy that you are with yourself the more beauty you actually are.

Dont confuse beauty with sexual atraction
I do not count reps, I make every rep count !!
