    Traps can't be "too big."

lol by "too big" i mean sloped too steeply, since i have narrow shoulders. Would working them increase the slope?

Working them can only help. If you're worried about what you're calling slope, stand up straighter and stick your chest out and pull your shoulders up.

First off... you arent even flexing the traps in this pic for them to really show how tall they are.... and second... i can already tell they are nowhere near too big... keep doing what you do. Looking good overall as well... very lean.

recommend isolating them with shrugs or hitting them as secondary muscle with military press/lateral raises?

I personally don't do any iso work on my traps. Heavy deadlifts, cleans, power cleans, high pulls, OHP all put plenty of work on your traps.

I do power shrugs, heavy as possible, than lower weight shrugs holding at top. Whenever i don't do direct work, than come back to doing direct work, my traps scream for a week or two while they get use to direct work. thereby, my thinking is it is imperative to do direct work..

gotcha. i've been doing behind the head standing barbell raises instead of sitting military press recently, those seem to hit my traps so i think ill probably just add shrugs in every 2 weeks or so

Those are implants. If you watch the video on youtube, his traps, delts, and pecs bounce around like water ballons.

Deadlifts and shrugs are, IMO, the two most effective ways to build your traps.

Work on your posture if you're worried about the slope. Personally I think traps can get too tall but never too thick front to back. I'd work on my upper back and do deadlifts to help pull my shoulders back and up. Deadlifts and standing rows would be my go to excercises.
