    Default As Promised.. Frither's Log :)

    So, I will be posting in here religiously so I can hold myself accountable and hopefullly if you guys have any suggestions, you'll be able to help me. My goal is to get to a point where I can compete in a figure and fitness competition. Maybe not this summer, but November. I plan on weight lifting m/t wed do spin lift th/fri and do spin on sat.. I really love the spin class.....

    So I'm definitely starting to feel more comfortable moving about the gym and weights. Even though at times, it feels as though it's a treasure hunt trying to figure out what machine is where...
    Also, the barbell bicep curls.. seems heavier then 5 pounds! lol.. but I guess I'm that weak!
    I am happy so far and I'm trying to make sure I'm doing everything correctly.. I'm excited though and have already added weight to some of them.
    I had my body fat and BMI taken Tuesday..
    my bodyfat is 21.1%
    BMI is 21.6

    I think you are stronger then you allow yourself to go. Id be pushin more in the 8-10 rep ranges on stuff like bench press, shoulder press, squats, and so on with any of those bigger lifts.

    Great work though.... like KD5 said... the volume is definitely killer.

    I agree.. I do feel like I could do more weight.. maybe I will do less reps and more weight.. those are more fun anyway!

    ^^ I would recommend it (Higher weight/lower reps on your big compound lifts).... even if you only get 6-8 reps.... your strength will continue to grow. Just work at progressing in weight every week....

    With progression.... comes results. It means you are PUSHING yourself.

    Did the 60 minute spin class.. warm up and cool down. Did some HIIT and then stregth training. I feel great! There's just something about sweating my arse off that I love.

    I was going to stay and do the yoga class too, but decided to go out and enjoy the weather today. Plus, my body is a little sore so I figured it could use some rest.

    Good choice! I'm certain your body needed the rest. I've always been told, your muscle grow outside of the gym. Rest is very important for muscle growth.
