    Default Difference between whey isolate protein and hydrolyzed whey protein?

    Hey,
    Could someone tell me what the difference between whey isolate and hydrolyzed whey protein is?

    The research claims hydrolyzed is faster acting than whey - being that it is "predigested".

    I'm cynical and see the main difference being price. Unless you are aiming every tiny advantage (i.e. a competitive athlete or a professional bodybuilder), isolate is fine. In fact there's no reason why standard whey wouldn't suffice.

    ^^this right here. The biggest claimed difference is absorption rate and purity of protein but definitely not worth it for the price. An isolate is fine to use if you must and money is good, if not just stick with a quality whey or blend.

    There are plenty of reasons why standard Whey wouldn't suffice. One main reason for me using hydrolyzed whey is because it is lactose free. Standard concentrate whey makes me throw up, and **** like crazy lol.
