    Default 2013 Upstate (SC) Push/Pull Showdown

    We will be hosting another meet this year. The date is July 20th. The meet will be held in Greenville, SC. The meet will consist of Deadlifts, Bench Press, and new this year; Bench for reps (BFR). BFR will be determined by bodyweight. Men will bench their bodyweight rounded up to the nearest 5lbs, and women will bench 1/2 their weight rounded up to the nearest 5lbs. Ages 16 and Up are welcomed. Teen (16-17), Open (18-39), and Masters (40+). Also, we will have RAW and EQUIPPED Divisions. Proceeds will be going to benefit The Special Olympics of SC. We are even hoping to have a few of their lifters lift with us that day! Flyers and Entry Forms will be posted in the next week.

    Awww, man! I hate that I missed this. the only events I have been able to find are in the lower state.(I hope to go to the USAPL State Championships in December in Goose Creek). Please post about any events that you know of in the upstate of SC. (I am right outside of Spartanburg)

    Don't be afraid to have a goal. Don't be afraid to tell people about that goal (especially the haters, we all have some). Don't be afraid to strive for that goal. Don't be afraid to fail in your attempt for that goal. Every great personal achievement in history was preceded by many failed attempts. But, most importantly, don't be afraid to say "Yep, I failed. But at least I tried. What have you done lately?" So says I.
