Red face Finally began training, and stuck with it!

    Hey all,

Been on Muscle and Strength for a full four years now, and only JUST started training!
I came here when I was 13 years old, looking to lose a bit of fat. Years of being slightly
overweight had tormented my childhood, and although I was never bullied or anything
like that, I could never take my top off at a pool, or the beach, and just was sad in
    general.

Finally, this year, at 17 years old, I decided I had had enough. I began dieting and weight training
    five days a week.

I began at 179cm tall, and 93kg. Estimates put me at about 23-25% body fat. Over two months
I lost 10kg, and I stopped dieting, I couldn't take much more of it. I continued to lose weight
however, and currently I am at 81kg, and with calipers 14-16% body fat.

I finally did it! I'm continuing my training! I can't stop, I'm enjoying it so much. I have always been
fairly strong, but seeing strength gains like I have now really bring up my spirit.

I aim to be 10% bodyfat by the end of this year, just in time for summer (australia).

Here are the pics: 2nd picture is me at the beginning, rest is now

You've made great progress. Well done.
Your back double bicep looks good, however, I think the traps are lagging just a bit. I have the same problem.
Your fat loss seems to be going well. Just keep with it. I definitely think you can drop below 10% by the end of this year

I have no critique to offer - but I do have a "WELL DONE!"
Next to proper form and nutrition - I believe consistency is an underestimated secret to making permanent changes.

You are proving that to yourself and others every day you keep going.
Wait until you are a couple years from now and some of your friends don't recognize you and you start to hear how they "used" to lift this or that and how they "used" to work out.

And in your mind you will be able to say "Yes, I see how that worked out for you" Ha,Ha,Ha
Never criticize them for their efforts, but it is okay to think to yourself how you don't live in the past or with what you used to do - you got it done and continue to evolve!

Thanks for hanging out on Muscle and Strength - hope a lot of this information and the community has helped.

    Nice work sir!

Dude, great job I feel the same way but I waited a lot longer to start. You definetly gave me some more motivation when I hit the gym tonight. Keep up the great work .

    Cheers!
