    Cool How to keep motivating

How do you keep motivating yourself if you are doing a 5 days workout.
How do you keep energetic if you start a lazy day?

Confidence and progression is really motivating for me.

I have goals in mind that I set out to accomplish.
Itís not about the amount of sets and reps you do, itís about how much effort you put into each set

I do a lighter workout 6 days a week and try to keep to a time schedule starting my workout at the same time each day and as that time approaches I psych my self up a little by keeping my goals in mind. Sometimes I just need a day off so I take it and don't beat myself up over it and pick up where I left off. I also keep some inspirational photos around to keep me on my path.

Set a short term goal for the day/night you are in the gym.

I sometimes drink coffee (stim) to kick start my WO day. But most of the time, I just do it. Working out could be addictive too, so sometimes, I don't really need any motivation as my body longs for it.

It's a inner feeling bro, if you don't have a reason or a purpose in the gym you are just walking around and sooner than later you will find yourself anywhere but except lifting heavy ass weightssss.
I do not count reps, I make every rep count !!

A couple of things...first, striving toward my goals in the gym keeps me motivated. Also, training is a bit of an escape for me and I love it, so I don't necessarily need a ton of motivation.

That said, everyone is human and has bad days. It is a mental thing to push through and continue to keep your thoughts on your goals.

Constantly being in competition with myself. Am I better lifter than I was a week ago when I did the same exercise?

As for lazy days, a splash of cold water on my face, loud music, caffeine... whatever it takes! Sometimes it's just picking your favourite exercise and doing it just for fun to get you in the mood. I love shrugs (despite not having huge traps) and it gets me pumped to slap some plates on an olympic bar and shrug for the hell of it!
