    Just watched that crazy video...
    I can't even use the dang spring clips for the Olympic bars at the gym without spraining my thumb and hand, so there is a snowball's chance in h3ll I'd be able to do that plate move even with a light one. LOL!

    Strangely, when I went to the gym, I had issues with the spring clips as well, got the thing part way on and gave up on it, so you probably could do these.



    I tried for 3 plates, so 7.5kg, but it wasn't to be, not today, at least; I saw a guy do 3 plates sandwiched...but I only managed to part lift it, didn't make it to horizontal but it's a start.

    Yeah, 62% of 1RM, not DL'd in a while so I just used my last 1RM of 77.5kg (170.5 lbs)
    So, 48kg (105.5 lbs)

    100 reps, done in sets of 10 with just enough break to write "10 reps" in my log book and then straight back to the next set. So, 100, pretty much back-to-back with minimal rest.

    Yeah, I had more planned and different stuff but I have a slight technical issue with some eczema, at the moment, haven't had issues in over 25 years...oh well...anyway it's keeping me awake and driving me nuts day and night alike, 24hrs non-stop; I have a doc's appointment to coincide with my asthma review but that's 10 days away so, self-medicating with what they will more than likely prescribe anyway and if it hasn't cleared in that time, then hopefully they'll give me something different.

    Tomorrow may be better, I can only hope.

    I forgot to add this; I found it and really want to give this a go...so it looks like I'll swap out my small juggling balls for a KB. This would also double-up as a great workout, as long as I don't kill myself Not a thing to be done every day, obviously, well aside from maybe working on technique for one movement etc, which would work and only require a small amount of time. But, it looks to be an interesting element to add.

    She's the current champion, as far as I know, and it's an 8kg KB which is hefty enough to be throwing about like that; personally, I'll be practising with a 5kg KB, to start with and then work it up to the 8kg KB, once I have a the movement down.

    Yep, this does look like fun, I just have to find a place to do it, our garden is a bit on the small side, though it may suffice; at least we have tall fences on either side, atm, that'll help if I mistime a catch Or I could take myself off up to the local park and give this a go, until someone intervenes which may happen...if it draws a crowd and the cops then decide it's a show and not training (I'm hoping it won't but have to be prepared for the possible stupidity that may ensue)...the world is mental enough to do so.

    I was amazed when she picked it up with her foot, a little hand assistance on the leg but even so not easy to do...not that I've tried I have done a few KB exercises where the KB is hung over the toes and it weighs, even at the light loads.

    She is impressive though.

    KB Swings
    Just a few easy swings, no count; practising form, mostly but it also served as a warm-up.

    BB BORs
    100 (done in sets of 5 after the first few sets)

    KB Juggling
    Only a small amount done. No broken toes or fingers.




    All-in-all, quite happy with today's mixed bag of goodies. Really looking forward to getting some of the more complex KB tricks under my belt, if possible, but for now I'm happy to get the basics down.

    and you are right about the cardio blasting DOMS... now I will feel like I have to do cardio, not because of heart health, but because I won't be sore.. noooo!!!! hahaha
