OOooooopsyeah, definitely, potted plants gals
Lots of weird stuff happening all at once, atm, had the strangest 50th birthday, yesterday, in a really good way, albeit very busy.
Not a whole lot done in the way of weights, regular style at least, due to our 29th anniversary on the 2nd as well![]()
Back off to the docs, tomorrow...routine stuff this time, we hope.

Smoking weed, Birthday parties and Anniversaries.. Geez, you've been busy!!
It would be hard for me to lift weights too, if I was face first in a batch of brownies... lol!!
.
Seriously,
seems like things have been nuts for you!
29 years! Happy Anniversary Babs!![]()

Much as I don't smoke *cough*, I reckon a bit of a drag on a bit of weed would have been great this last few weeksOh brownies, you've heard of space cakes too then
well, that's what the Dutch call them, so I was told...
Many thanks, PowerPixie![]()

Today, we signed the formal paperwork for the move; now we have a wait until the authorities have done a little work in the property in question...so, it will be all hands to boxing stuff up and getting this underway, plenty of exercise there![]()
On my birthday, we viewed the property but weren't sure whether it would be suitable, hence my not saying anything until we'd signed papers and such; still a lot to get done though, as I'm pretty sure most of you know, at least, those that have moved house before. In our favour, we're only moving a short distance as this is more for health and being in a property that has no stairs as opposed to where we are at the moment.
Once we get the final go-ahead, and we get settled in, I can start working out again, in the way that I wish to but for now, the move will take precedence. There has been a lot of walking involved, so it's not like I'm getting no exercise, and with all the shifting stuff about, carrying hefty weights and KBs down the stairs (without breaking my neck), I'm sort of getting quite a bit of weird strength training in as well, just not very conventional...so, in line with the log title as it goes

Today
Shearing a lawn
Ripping up (as in removing from the floor) carpet
Moving stuff about
Fighting with the back of a chair, darn thing, worked it out in the end though
Plenty o' warm work therethough, it didn't help that it's also warm out today. One area down, several to go...if it remains warm, I may manage to get the back lawn cut, however, since we have a doc's appointment, that could prove iffy and it'll likely rain before I get the chance to do it, which means I'll just do indoor stuff, so win-win.

Sounds good!

Been hectic here, since I last posted, what with removing a hessian backed carpet, underlay and strips from one room, not to mention sorting stuff all over the place...then we had the removal guys come to assess costs which meant that all the boxes that had been got out of the loft had to be shifted about to allow access for them to see stuff as well; some puzzle that was.
In the meantime, I managed to get sunburned a few times, due to grass cutting between box shifting and sorting stuff, as well as trying to make sure visitors don't end up clashing with one another when they arriveso far, so good on that one.
atm, I'm sat on the floor, haha! The swivel chair is long gone...

Things certainly are MOVING along! heh heh heh... I got sunburned too... not paying attention.![]()
There is no Try. Do. Or Do Not.
Haha!Yep, nobody will be able to say that there wasn't any sun this year, with people getting sunburned, though someone will no doubt try that one on; I'm thinking this place may just about get one more grass cutting, depending on the weather, then that will be that.
I was intending boxing things up today but decided to try and relax for the day, so that's what I'm doing, as well as catching up with emails and such.
No workouts but my body is still catching up with recovery due to shifting stuff about, so it's definitely getting a workout.

Dang! I got sunburned again!
And I put sunscreen on, but missed the little spot between the collar bones! Ugh!![]()
Good to get some rest! It's too dang hot here... 3 Hs: hazy, hot, humid. Temps in the 90s. Bleah!
There is no Try. Do. Or Do Not.
Yep, temperature is in the higher areas here too, not sure what, as I haven't bothered to check but it's fair to say it's warm as this is the very first year that we've had a fan running in the living room for days on end just to circulate the warm air really, it doesn't cool it off any but a little air movement makes the difference.
I caught the sun again today, the weather was great, earlier, so I took advantage of it; I was going to have another relaxing day but decided to get both lawns sorted out and then hope that it's the very last cut they require before we leave here, *fingers crossed*.
I put sun cooling cream on, the other day, and that seems to have done the trick, so I'll slather some of that on again this evening.
I have to say, I'll be really glad when I can get to the weights and KBs and do some "lifting" that isn't either furniture or boxes, not that the latter is any easier, but it will mean that the move is over and done with which I'm looking forward to, as anybody does in the same situation. There is an upside in all the chaos, at least we're not moving just before Xmas and managed to also skip across my birthday, so that was good, as far as timing goes.
One more week and the internet goes off, then I'll try and get to the library and log in once a month minimum, so I'll still be around, just not very often; unless I happen to be in town with a little time to spare and there is a computer free in which case, I'll log in for a bit.
Until then though, I'll be around a bit more than that, unless there is a glitch this end, of course.
1-Finger Deadlift, 1RM: 80.3lbs/36.5kg
Good to hear you'll at least be able to log in at the library.
And yes, it's such a relief when all the movings over and done with, and all the boxes unpacked and everything sorted and put away.
There is no Try. Do. Or Do Not.
Yeah, I very much look forward to that day, no boxes about, which always seems like it will never be at time.
1-Finger Deadlift, 1RM: 80.3lbs/36.5kg
Yesterday's "workout" consisted of loading 17 boxes with book and moving carpeting, tumble dryer and a cooker about; my entire body had a great workout, what with the books weighing a considerable amount in each box, even though I tried to pick out some of the slightly smaller boxes for packing them.
Today, it's pouring of rainno big surprise there, though I could have done with the cooler air yesterday, tbh, since I'm not really lugging any overly heavy stuff about today like I was yesterday.
The great thing is, that's 17 boxes less to pack![]()
1-Finger Deadlift, 1RM: 80.3lbs/36.5kg
Still busy boxing stuff up; 2 days of the internet left, after that I'll be posting intermittently.
I will, however, be training, once we get to the next place...first things first though.
1-Finger Deadlift, 1RM: 80.3lbs/36.5kg
Curtain rails are down, all but one which is remaining until the day before the move; it was hellish, due to the TOS and blood flow, or lack thereof, worse than a heavy training session
No boxes done, today, my arms couldn't take any more, tbh. It's sad to think that the seemingly easy tasks are sometimes the hardest to accomplish.
On an upbeat note, all the deadlifting that I've done in the past has come in to its own, this last few days; I'm not sure I could have handled all the heavy boxes, had it not been for the multiple deadlifts and other exercises over the years...a good reason for anyone to start lifting, IMO.![]()
1-Finger Deadlift, 1RM: 80.3lbs/36.5kg
Glad to hear you're putting good use to all that heavy training!
We have several friends who are either in the midst of moving, or showing their homes in order to move.
Very hectic business indeed.
There is no Try. Do. Or Do Not.
I can't say I'll be sorry when it's over...
Thanks for checking in to the log![]()

Tomorrow, the internet goes off, so I'll be checking in intermittently, after that occurs...in the meantime, keep lifting, guys and gals![]()
