    Long time no see!

    Things have been really hectic...we moved, obviously; then within 3 months hubby's femur bone snapped (it just gave way), so he's now held together with even more metal. The had to send for special parts to Liverpool, whilst he waited in Aberdeen hospital. It was a year long road to base recovery for him. Then, in 2016, my sister died; and, today, we've just come from hubby's sister's funeral...yep, it's all go, in more ways than one.

    I managed to fall over through pure exhaustion, the year after hubby's leg snapped, and broke a bone in my hand, not to mention lots of other injuries. Ha! When it goes wrong, it does it big time.

    I decided to try and put a bit of time aside today, whilst I was here (the library) sorting some health reading up; the doc wants me to cut gluten from the diet, yay for me

    Anyway, I will try and get on a bit more as time permits. Hope everybody's training is still going strong.

    Glad to see you back. I'm really sorry to hear about all your troubles, but here's to a better 2018.

    hey KD, yep, here's hoping to a better year all-round; seems we'll be having new neighbours in a couple of weeks now as well, so fingers crossed there!

    My right shoulder is acting up at the moment, so in addition to all the tasks around the house, which need doing, I'm going to be doing some rehab style exercises. Fortunately, I'm fine when it's just basic lifting but maybe when I fell (in 2016, Jan 1st) I did some damage there as well as to my left hand; slowly but surely should do the job...besides, I still have that 1-finger Deadlift to shatter...40kg is my target, most likely next year though.

    Keep up the great work guys and hopefully I'll get to log in again in a few weeks time.

    Met the new neighbour this morning, seems okay which is always a good thing. Was at the doc's Friday, not such a great day but thankfully over with; now all I need to do is await results...in the meantime, I'm getting down to some exercise as I want to crush that 80.3lbs 1-Finger record I currently have.

    Tests came back negative, not really surprised there, tbh, but I reckon the meds had done their work by that point in time, although I couldn't speak for an entire month...complete lack of voice, due to the meds, I think.

    I managed to get sunburned whilst spending copious amounts of time in the garden pulling a shrub that's been growing for the past 40 years; even the loppers were struggling but I got there in the end.

    I was advised to cut out the gluten as the medical profession assumed I was intolerant to it, whether I am or not is another matter but I have noticed even though we're deep into the hayfever season, I haven't needed to start any meds for it yet and I've been taking them since I was 16 y/o...makes me wonder, all that medication may have been unnecessary; however, I'm not banking on things yet, give it to the end of this season and then another on top of it, then I'll be inclined to say that's the case, most likely.


    Very little structured workout as yet but the gardening has taken it's place this past 2 weeks

    Wow, long time since I posted here...still looking to hit that 40kg mark and aiming to get a picture, for posterity

    Hubby was at the hospital today, so it's been a long day all told; x-rays, consultation, and new appointments in the offing.

    So, the hayfever thingummyjig, no meds needed at all last year, and already into the first month of the season this year; fingers crossed.


    Hope everybody else is doing well in their training/workouts.
