Question Which amino supplement should I take

I'm looking for an amino acid supplement to take during cardio. Should I take a BCAA, beta-alanine, general Amino, or some other supplement intra-workout?

BCAA's will only merit you for 1) Fasted Training or 2) between meals as a bolus that are spaced 4-6 hours apart.
besides that for cardio wont really aid you much. You would be better off using something like BA/CM/LCLT

Just because I am not familiar with the terminology, what does BA/CM/LCLT stand for? Really good articles!

BA = Beta alanine aids performance
CM = Citrulline Malate aids lactic acid build up and pump
LCLT - L-carnitine L-tartrate "These data support the use of LCLT as a recovery supplement for hypoxic exercise and lend further insights into the hormonal mechanisms that may help to mediate quicker recovery."

It is quite possible this chap is performing cardiovascular training in a fasted state. In that case, it works for me.

Now regarding a form: that is of trivial matter. My advice is try the cheapest product and see how that works. Just be sure that the product contains nothing but BCAA's.

I personally use a cheap powder. it tastes absolutely disgusting, but it helps me. I only use it for my longer cardiovascular sessions That would consist of a weekly 5-6 mile run. Like I say, the product I use tastes horrible. But it works, it's cheap and if anything that nasty taste takes my mind of at least the first 2-3 miles of my run :-).

Nick, look up sports supplements on the American College of Sports Medicine website. Most are completely safe in the right quantity. Please rephrase yourself, or I will just pass off your post as you being a little drunk.

I am a big fan of Purus Labs AminoD, I mix it with my preworkout and it seems to keep my strength up even when I eat crappy and helps me recover faster. It also boost my preworkout.

This one is really good, I take one after my workout and a second one before going to sleep, I took this advice from bodybuilding.com it works pretty good, your body process it better during sleep time.

Aminos are a waste before bed only beneficial for you for fasted pre-workout training or as a bolus between meals 4-6 hours apart

You can use Dymatize BCAA Complex 5050 its good source of amino acid. It contains enough L-Valine, L-Leucine and L-Isoleucine in every serving. these three are purest free form of amino acid.
