Default Why am I so hungry?

I am a 16 year old female, more into powerlifting than body building. I lift heavy 4-5x/week, and do HIIT/ metabolic conditioning around 3x a week. I focus on large compound movements (squat, deadlift, bench, OHP) more than isolation movements.

I am 5' 5.5in, around 120-125lbs. You can see pictures of me on IG @clean_eating_teen

I eat ALOT. Like, oh my god. Grown men can't even keep up with me. I was very sick with an eating disorder about 2 years ago and was 90lbs. Since then I have educated myself on holistic nutrition as well as weight lifting. I stopped counting macros and calories because its not healthy for me mentally (I had been counting since I was 11!)

Everything I eat is very healthy and cooked at home. I also don't eat gluten, and only eat high quality dairy occasionally.

Just TODAY, for example, here is what I have eaten (and it is only 4pm)

1 large banana, 2ish TBSP organic nut butter

    Watermelon and strawberries

    150 calories of hummus, carrots

    2 eggs, steamed spinach

    almond milk

90% of homemade goulash (sister ate the 10% lol):
1 cup organic dairy (.5 cup kefir cream cheese, .5 cup low fat organic plain yogurt)
    1 cup gluten free penne
    1lb 99% ff turkey
    some corn and other veggies

AND IM STILL HUNGRY. WHAT IS WRONG?

I really am trying to just build muscle and get lean, basically body recomp. But how can I do this with a raging appetite?

What you've listed there isn't very much food. Sounds like just lunch for me.

If you're hungry, it's a perfectly natural indication that you need to eat more. You are doing a lot of training every week and your body needs food to recover. Try increasing your food intake and see how you feel.

Just calculating calories off the top of my head, everything Ive eaten adds up to around 2500 calories if not more.

How on earth is that not enough for a 16 year old girl? I mean, I work my butt off in the gym. But I still am not lean and feel my appetite is why.

You probably have a high revving, GROWING metabolism and require those calories. Strength training saps calories like a sponge does water. If you are hungry, and continue to eat....then your body needs it. Also, if you like the results and arent getting fat then who cares. Eat.

    good luck

The lifting makes you hungry I guess? I could take some tips from you because I don't eat enough
