    I totally agree with you Bob, but that's why we jumped on the ones we found for $1 a serving...it's convenient. A local drug store here will have those big jugs of protein (crazy expensive), but every now and then, and often enough, they'll run a buy one get one, and that's when i'll jump on it.

    Quick update. I'm sore. lol hahahaha.

    going to the gym tonight to work arms and i cannot wait. Seriously, i am loving this and i hope my "gung-ho" continues as it is, because i will get ripped! hahahaha.

    I found out some **** in relation to my gym too, which has given me even more motivation to kick it hard, so this is so cool.

    I forgot to mention that along with my very low carb diet (for a couple weeks now), i have been taking Raspberry Ketone tablets, 3 tabs, twice a day. That's as far as the supplements currently go. It works for some, for others it's useless, but i got a giant bottle so until they're gone, i'm on 'em.

    I'm liking how quick things are flattening for me, which you probably don't notice, but i can, and that's all due to my diet, but i'm excited, given that, and a few more weeks in the gym, to see how tight things will start to appear.

    There is not much backing to raspberry ketones.
    If you want a real good fatloss agent ---> Forskolin 50 or Yohimbine, if you need help on dosing that let me know. RK does not have much scientific backing to them, and they are basically an OTC thing you can take, but in reality diet is the #1 aspect!

    I will look into the Forskolin/yohimbine stuff, but honestly, i do notice with the ketone that i've actually had to remind myself to eat something lately. I also get nauseous if i take them on an empty stomach, so there's a reminder in itself.

    Sure its a reminder, but it is mostly money not well spent
    Forskolin can cause GI Distress but is strong
    Yohimbine can cause bit of jitters and needs to be dosed on an empty stomach upon waking and 6-8 hours later ( like forskolin). These are really only going to benefit you (like any fatloss agent) once you get to a very lean state. Pills and powders dont do miracles. Diet and training do, people place way too much faith in supps. That goes for a lot of people out there, and people that worship those magazines (Muscle and fitness) etc and believe the crap people write in there haha.

    Oh, i'm far from a person who relies on supps. I rarely if ever, use them. And as far as cost and spending money, i am frugal as F! lol. I'm sure i only bought them because they were throwing them away on a clearance rack, so i figured what the heck. I agree that it all comes down to your diet, and willpower to sustain from "cheating".

    PS, i have had left over office birthday cake (carrot cake with cream cheese frosting...only thing better is cheesecake) sitting in my fridge since monday evening, which is way to slowly disappearing from my boys eating it. I'm very proud that i have not touched it!

    I was scooping ice cream for my kids last night and I so wanted to take a taste.. just one.. but I didn't! I ate a handful of blueberries instead!

    Remember a bit of moderation/refeeding or a cheat meal could help fatloss/weight loss by spiking t3, leptin and hormone levels and increasing your metabolism.

    Again you can google that by Shelby Starnes (Cheat meal on t-nation) or refeeds by 3dmj, Tommy Jeffers and Layne Norton

    Yay Shan! When the other secretary put the leftover cake on my desk monday late in the day, to bring home (they always give me leftover cake because they know i have 5 boys), i knew i would have it. I would give myself the excuse that i've been so good, that i deserve it, it won't hurt. And then i would feel like crud for doing it...because having the cake would've led me to have one of the many fattening bagels one of my boys brings home because he works at Timmy Ho's ...so, i'm not even kidding, i wrote in big giant letters on the palm of my hand "DON'T". And it worked. lol

    Work is busy, but yay for friday! went to the gym lastnight and spent a good hour....LOVED it. Worked arms with Joel. My diet has me thinning out, but in a good way..muscles are showing better now, pre-flex, which is what i want. I crave bread like a mo-fo though. hahahaha!

    I am going to have to figure out a way to work a good leg day in. Going with Joel is awesome, and i love it, and i love him playing trainer, but he does minimal legs. Not because he's one of those dudes who only cares about the upper body, but because he's got a bad knee and with delivering for UPS, fricking it up anymore would make his day miserable. We take turns doing the same machines, he'll readjust the weights for me, but if i venture to another machine while he's up, he tells me no, it doesn't work that way.

    He told me yesterday he hopes i don't fizzle out on him, as far as my desire to go to the gym, and i'm not even kidding, i sit here all day now at work daydreaming about going. One week in and i'm already hooked. He also told me yesterday he wants to get real big again, so this gym thing, is so perfectly timed right now.

    hahahaha...i just need not to take pics after hours. Lighting in my new apartment isn't wonderful, but to be truthful, i don't love bright lights in my home...i like "cozy". I will try and get some back shots later after work. We worked shoulders/back saturday and sunday, and I have to say that the one thing i am loving the most about being in a gym (filled with my hearts desire as far as equipment), it is SO MUCH easier and time effective. I would do so many dang reps of body weight exercises at home/office to know i made a difference, and Jeez, at the gym, that burn comes a lot quicker, and progress that much sooner noticeable.

    I am still doing very low carb and plan on sticking with that for a while because i do love how effective it is as in quickly getting rid of that fluff and making things (muscles) more noticeable, that much quicker.

    the one thing i really want as far as "appearance" is to see progress (muscle) without flexing. I'm getting there.

    It's definitely in my mind Shan, so we will see. I'm going to see how close i can get to "the look" of show material and then go from there. If I do, I will def. have to compete in the masters age group, so that will actually give me a better chance of placing high, so i might just have to make it one of those "bucket list" things to do, and conquer my shyness insofar as that feeling of being gawked at.
