We have a product in South Africa & Lesotho named Futurelife. They make various breakfast cereals and a product that caught my eye is their High Protein Smart Food. One can take it as a meal, a snack or smoothie. It has a blend of 3 protein sources - Whey, Caseinate and Soya. The list of ingredients reads as follows: Whole Maize Flour (NON-GMO), Whole Soya Bean Flour (Soya NON-GMO), SmartProtein blend[Soya protein isolate (NON-GMO), Whey protein islolate (NON-GMO), Skim milk powder, Calcium caseinate (milk)], Sucrose, Cocoa powder, Calcium carbonate, Inulin, Lecithin (Soya NON-GMO), Salt, Vitamins and Minerals.
It's Typical Nutrional Value reads as follows (Per 100 g): Energy - 1460 kJ; Protein - 30 g; Glycaemic Carbohydrate - 36 g, of which Total Sugar 12 g, of which Sucrose 10.5 g, of which Lactose 1.5 g; Total Fat - 6.8 g; etc., etc.
My question is, is it a good product to take a a pre and post workout supplement. They give a soothie recipe of 50 g Future Life High Protein powder, 250 ml skimmed milk, 2 Tbsp peanut butter, and 1 banana. I have been taking half of this before my workout and the other half after my workout along with a teaspoon (5 g) creatin half an hour before the workout.
What do you guys think? Is this sufficient?
