Hello M&S forum my name is John, I'm 44 years, married 20 years with 4 Kids ages 25-18
New grandfather, she is a year old now and I want to be in her life alot longer than my grandfather was for me.
In 2007 I lost my job that enabled my drug use and got clean and sober after many years of drug abuse and went from a 205lb man to a 428lb blob of a person within 2 years time until I couldn't clean myself after using the restroom or see my feet!
It was then my family intervened and said look at yourself! I did!
It was then I started 5x5 strength training program and went from 428lbs down to 265lbs! Things were going great and after being unemployed for almost 4 years things got even better and I found a job!
Work outs became fewer and farther apart when eventually the stopped all together.
I kept my weight in check and kept eating clean for a couple of years then I found myself not eating so good to just eating bad! So a few months ago I got back into the gym now at 315lbs.
Presently on a 5x5 training program focusing on compound movements with a couple of accessory excercises (not part of the program)
Current stats bp 205lbs 5x5, squat 135lbs 5x5 dl 225lbs 3x5 (I know my squat and dl are small) I am working on it.
13 minute mile and one messed up diet!
Able to hit the gym 3 or 4 times a week but only consecutive days due to work, I work 12-14 hrs 4 days on and 4 days off.
Can't wait to start my log...
