With following 5x5 now, at least three. But, typically four. I like running outdoors, so I don't 'need' the gym for cardio, really.

4 days per week on Wendler 5/3/1.
    Pick up heavy things.
    Put them down.
    Then pick them up again.

    Do this many times.

I'm on an upper/lower workout type, so I go 4 days a week. I like to do cardio outside or when it's not possible home on my stationary bike.

    Including conditioning, 6 days.

Running WSBB, so 4 days of weights.
Donít chase the 1%, there is no magic training routine or diet thatís going to provide any measurable results over the basic principles for getting huge and strong: Train heavy, eat and sleep more.

I put 4, though with life commitments it varies from 2-5. The program I'm on has 5 day weeks 4 day weeks and 3 day weeks, but my wife and baby take priority over everything and if work sends me away somewhere my priority is getting home to them rather than finidng a gym.

Babies five months old now, amusingly he doesn't look far off the picture in my avatar.

Two-a-days, wherein you train twice in one day, have been used by everyone from Arnold Schwarzenegger to high school football teams when the goal is to get in shape fast. While it's not appropriate for those with very limited time (or discipline), if you're a college student with a spread-out schedule of classes or a working man with three free nights a week, you can gain muscle while burning fat at an astounding rate. If you have a demanding career, three kids, and a healthy marriage, then working out 2-3 times per week might be the most you can put on your plate.

For beginners 3 or 4 days of training is more than adequate. I have been lifting for more than 2 years continuously now (about 6 years since I started). I go to gym 5 days a week and on alternate weekends it would sometimes be 6 days a week as well.

I personally go to the gym 5 days a week, and train for about one hour and a half.

"In War: Resolution. In Defeat: Defiance. In Victory: Magnanimity. In Peace: Good Will." - Winston Churchill

A student said to his master: "You teach me fighting, but you talk about peace. How do you reconcile the two?" The master replied: "It is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war."
