Default Help & advice - Dieting & Protein

Hi pretty new to this, have just started working out and wanted to know if it was a good idea to take protein shakes whilst on diet pills

Trying to loose weight quickly around stomach area but build up muscle everywhere else.

Also what protein/dietary supplements would you recommend

    thanks

I'll split this into a few questions:

Is it a good idea to take diet pills: No
Is it a good thing to lose weight quickly: No
Is it possible to build muscle whilst losing weight quickly: No
Is it possible to lose weight around a specific area: No
Is it a good idea to take a protein shake: Yes, if you are struggling to reach your daily protein requirement
What protein supplements do you recommend: Whey protein of almost any kind is fine. Pick a brand and flavour you like.
What dietary supplements do you recommend: None, eat less than you burn.
What is the opposite of loose? Tight
What is the opposite of lose? Win

    Hope that helps.

One -> you can not spot reduce
two -> if you want to lose weight you need a caloric deficit
three -> you will not gain size/strength if you want to lose weight because your putting your body into a caloric deficit
four -> if you meet protein intake in the 24 hour period you do not need protein shakes
five -> if you can not meet protein intake then a protein shake will help you meet and support protein needs by supplementing with protein.

Pick a goal and attain it

It's a question of what is more important to you. If you're seriously obese and hate your body then losing weight first is a good idea (still follow a weight training program, you'll make some progress and preserve muscle in the process). If you're just a little chubby and hate the thought of dieting, then maybe focus on a slow long term bulk. If you're "skinny fat", train and bulk.

That is great dear, it is really necessary for taking good care of your health. Anyway, I am also planning to include Green supplements in my regular diet. Do you think it is a good idea or I should opt for something else?

I would avoid the diet pills entirely. Losing weight quickly isn't the way to go. Instead, eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly. Yes, it will take longer, but you'll get better results that will be more sustainable long-term. You can't lose weight in a certain area first. Lose weight overall and you'll find that you look and feel better. You only need to drink protein shakes if you can't get enough protein from a healthy diet.
