Default Good Workouts while staying at Hotels?

    Hi guys,

I've been sent on a lot of business trips lately and it has cut into my gym time a lot. Do you guys have any recommendations for working out on the road/working out at hotels?

Most places will have some sort of fitness facility with dumbbells and maybe a universal. When I'm staying in a hotel I'll do a full body workout with dumbbells every other day and maybe get on a treadmill on the off days. If no facilities at all I'll do 100 push ups every other day.

If you have a kindle I highly recommend the book "Hotel Fitness: Workouts for the Road Warrior". I was in almost your exact situation with traveling a while ago and it really helped with me getting at least a decent workout while on the road. It has a lot of cool workout techniques that you can do in your room or hotel gym! Check it out:

I'll have to check that book out. My hubs is away on business 5 days a week at hotels for months at a time. He uses the hotel gym when his work schedule permits. Sometimes there's not much more than a treadmill and some DBs.

Yes, many hotels have gyms or workout areas that you can take advantage of. If they don't do some exercises that use your own body weight, such as push-ups, tricep dips, etc. Get creative and use whatever you have around you!
