    Default Strength Training.

    Thought I'd start a log on here again as I am always looking for constructive criticism on my lifting. I post a few vids on Instagram so will try and share the links in here, not sure if it's possible to embed?

    This is my current schedule:

    Monday - Bench / Triceps
    Wednesday AM - Deadlift / Squat variation
    Wednesday PM - Pullups / Rows
    Thursday - Shoulders / Abs
    Saturday - Squats

    Current totals (This year):
    Bench 115kgx2
    Squat 170kg
    Deadlift 211kg

    Body weight 97kg

    My targets for this year were 120 bench, 180 squat and 200 DL. I should be able to get the bench done in the next few weeks then I will be chasing the 180 squat. I set these back in Jan!

    This weekends squat session was [email protected] no belt. Also tried some flat shoes and they felt better than the lifting shoes I have been wearing. It seems to cut out a bit of forward lean. I did a comparision vid:

    Deadlifts and squat

    Worked up to 197kgx3 on deadlift

    Then a few back off sets and 5 sets on squats up to 3 reps at 140kg.

    Saturday's Squats

    100kgx5
    120kgx3
    140kgx2
    160kgx1
    180kgx1 - PB
    140kgx3
    100kgx10

    Wanted to hit the PB so didn't do much other work. Got the wraps out from 140. Next goal, 180 in sleeves! But not this year, will back off for a few weeks now on squats and get some volume in.
