Default Anyone have a mr "moanandgroanalot" at their gym?

What do I mean by this? I mean a dude that has to moan, groan, and grunt while performing every exercise they do? (Squatting, benching, deadlifting). It's the most annoying thing; especially when you are trying to squeeze out that last rep you are lifting and the guy next to you won't shut the f' up? Why do people do this? Is it an "ego" attention getter thing? Is it a sign of low self esteem and self image, so the person doing it has to be noticed? I want to squash the dudes that do this, and "Lift them up then put them down"! Anybody out there with me or experience this? I am not real strong, but when I do lift heavy I never moan, grunt, or groan. I lift the s..t! If I need help, I ask to be spotted.

Over time you learn to tune things out and focus on what you are doing. You will hear a lot of grunting and groaning in a powerlifting gym. Everyone is different and has their quirks. I am more bothered by a gym member that leaves equipment covered with sweat or leaves plates and DBs lying around.

A couple in my gym and unfortunately these are both regulars. I think it's a 'See how hard I'm working, if you notice I'm getting recongnition' sorta thing.

Time to time I groan... Because if I'm hitting 5x5 of 90% at my squat without spotter, I could injure my self, I rather groan and hit the rap then injure my self...

I think it's on the most of gyms. It's like facebook. Or chiwawa. As louder you are as less you can do. Not always ofc. but usually
