Hi everyone!
I started working out regularly about 5 months ago. Before then I lived a fairly active life and always biked to work and did go for longer cycling trips every once in a while. But since I joined my gym in January I have worked out around 3-4 times a week. I have primarily been going to classes (a healthy mix of high interval training, cardio training and sculpting, boot camp classes etc, spinning). All the classes have been at the Equinox gym and I feel like they have a good mix that works for me. In the beginning I had a body fat percentage of 30 and I weighed 185lb being 5"11'. Since then I've lost 17lb's (haven't checked my body fat percentage since).
To the point: now I feel like I should start lifting more weight to see some proper visual change and start building muscles. BUT I have no idea what do do. Does anyone have good tips for someone who has been working out for a couple of months but hasn't really every lifted weights?
I live on a low carb diet and am basically vegetarian, should I start with protein powders or something similar?
Thank you very much for taking your time to read this!
