Default Advice on muscle/fat ratio gain

    Hi all,

I've just started the maximum mass workout on this website and am 2 weeks in (one week of mild lifting the week before). I did a body scan 3 weeks ago, and since then I have put on 3kg. 1.7kg of that is muscle and 1.3kg is fat. What do people think - is that a good ratio? I'm really happy with the gains but just wondering if I might be able to gain less fat? I probably take in 3000 calories a day from good sources, ie wholegrain carbs, high protein and lots of veg.

    Thanks all.

roughly 50/50 isn't that bad to be honest, fat is always easier to strip than muscle if you ever gain too much. I would recommend looking at the mirror rather than the scale to gauge how well your bulk is going.
