    Default more reps or more weight?

    hi i am a female and looking to lose around 40 pounds. i just started getting into the gym about two weeks ago and ive been doing cardio and weights but was wondering if i should be lifting heavy with less reps or lifting more reps not as heavy? thanks

    heavy weight with 8-12 reps is pretty optimal
    no matter what, dont give up

    Heavy compound movements such as deadlifts will burn hella calories. Be sure to cut some calories out of your diet as well.

    Since you just started, keep the low weights and do more reps, I know it's not so pleasant, I also preffer heavier weights and less reps, but that is after you get in a better shape. And keep doing cardio for weightloss.

    Donít chase the 1%, there is no magic training routine or diet thatís going to provide any measurable results over the basic principles for getting huge and strong: Train heavy, eat and sleep more.
