Default Fat loss while gaining muscle?

    Hey,

So I'm pretty new to the fitness life, only 3 months in, and have seen some great results so far. I started at 78kg/172lb, and currently sitting on 65kg/143lb. My program has consisted of HIIT cardio on treadmill and weight lifting on a 5 day split.

I have managed to lose quite the body fat, as all of my clothes are now too wide for me. I feel like I should start focusing on building muslce, but I have a fear that if I start eating in a surplus I might just add back what I lost.

My diet since the beginning has consisted mininal carbs, minimal fat and a high amount of protein, mainly chicken breasts, tuna fish, peanuts and so. I am able to keep going with this eating, but will I be able to keep burning body fat while gaining muscle, because I still need to burn a few percents of body fat. Any constructive remark is welcome.

Congratulations for moving down from 78 kg to 65kg in three months. Most of us can rarely attain a half of that in 3 months. But as you say, the job is not yet over. It is just starting. You need to start working on your muscles. It is true that what you eat and what you do are critical and will determine whether you achieve your goal or not. I would recommend that you resort to Ketogenic diet if you want to build your muscles while maintaining your current physic. The Keto meal combines protein, green vegetables and fats. The diet provide a more inspired approach and will supply the body with a plethora of good fats which the body burns to get energy instead of carbohydrates. This gives the protein a chance to build the muscles.

It's hard to loss fat and gain muscle in the same time but is not impossible, if you want to lose fat not muscle try to stay strong in gym, lift heavy weights if you want to keep your muscle, and also you need to eat more proteins than carbohydrates, check this course, it really worked for me and I've learned a lot of good information.
