Default Is there a special protein shake for people with diabetes?

Hey all. I really don't know too much about supplements, so I'm sorry if these questions seem silly.

My dad has diabetes and he isn't able to get sufficient protein from his diet. Is there a special protein shake on the market that is formulated for diabetics? Can he just take any protein shake (are they diabetic-friendly)?

    Thanks.

For diabetic people, I would recommend consulting your doctor before taking any supplement. Also, make sure you check the sugar content and ingredients for any artificial sweeteners. Egg and meat are good sources of protein. Beans have good amount of protein. There is no extra health benefit of protein shakes over normal proteins.
