    Default Home gym

    Hey all!

Just moved into an apartment that has a gym in it. Itís pretty basic, but something I can use daily.
Can someone help me with a programme or some advice on how to get the most out of it?
Looking at loosing weight and then bulking up.
Started off the year with the 12 week spring challenge, but then took 3 months off for a shoulder injury and started back with a 5day ease back in.

In the gym there is a treadmill, cross trainer, bench with bar, bike, chest press, leg extension and curling machine rowing machine and a multi-station. All weights are in pounds.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Hello, Aussie! I have been using a treadmill thrice a week. I gave 30 minutes each day. It will really help you burn calories as much as 250-300. It also improves your cardiovascular strength.

Don't overlook the effectiveness of simple body weight exercises like press ups, sit ups etc, they will go a long way. You seem to have a pretty good set of equipment. Just be sure not to overdo your shoulders to early on, and cause injury to come back !

Just do what you like to do and listen to your body, trust me it's the best workout you can ever have, but if you need a program to push you send me a PM.

    Which treadmill do you use?
I like both treadmill and dumbbells because they are more compact for storage and target more muscles since you have to work more to stabilize the weight.
I have a NordicTrack X5 Incline trainer and really love it.
Although I found a website that reviews weight loss supplements

I would say try Calisthenics. It mostly requires you to do everything on your own weight. The best part is you won't need many equipments.

Working out regularly is great for your body and mind, and is and should be a goal unto itself. But if you have another specific goal—like losing weight, or lowering body fat percentage, or building muscle—you'll need to pair your workout routine with a strategic and healthy nutrition plan.
