    Default How to train your shoulders without growing your trapezius muscle

    Hi,

    I started working out about 6 months ago. 2 weeks ago I started with a more intense shoulder workout, but after working out a few times, my trapezius muscle (neck) started to get bigger and after working on my shoulder i get muscle pain in my neck. What do i do wrong?

    Were you attempting too heavy a weight for your rep range, and using a sloppy exercise technique ??

    i don't know about a muscle getting bigger in two weeks, maybe your shoulders have rolled forward causing your traps and scapula to shift up

    I guess you messed up with muscle insertions but that is accompanied by extreme pain.
