    Default How long to gain weight

    I started going to the gym about a month ago, im 16 years old and very skinny (5'7 and 121 pounds). Im working out 4-5 times a week in 1 and a half hour sessions and im having about 3200 calouries a day, how long should it take to have a decent weigth gain and improvement in muscle definition? At the moment i gained only 8 pounds.

    8 pounds in a month is pretty good, just keep it going. if you were able to consistently put on 8 pounds a month for 3 months you would gain 24lbs

    Within six months, most people increase their strength 40 percent or more. Give your body at least one recovery day between sessions (although some people may need more, especially in the beginning)

    Don't think too much about just keep the hard work going. And it is pretty good that you have gain 8 pounds.
