Default Injured and want...NEED to lose weight!

    Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows exercises that can be done while injured. I gave birth a few weeks ago and in the process of labour I either misaligned or fractured my coccyx (wont know until see a physio which could take some time). I want to lose weight in a healthy steady way, but wont be able without exercise. I know I probably shouldn't do anything that puts pressure on my lower back such as sit ups. But what can I do?

Hi, diet is the #1 thing you can do. Also have patience with yourself, you just had a baby. I don't know how severe your injury is but can you walk or swim? Incorporate strength training your upper body.

Hi, has your doctor said its ok to exercise?, for your condition you should avoid sitting for long periods, and eat high fibre foods

    These exercises may help https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/322610.php

Isn't diet the best thing you can do. Workouts may cause more pain or damage to any existing injury. Try recovering first before starting a routine or program.

Although exercise option is good to lose weight effectively but as you mentioned you face lower back pain problem. So, I would recommend some alternative ways to lose weight in an effective way. You can use apple cider vinegar to lose weight.
You can use it in the morning on an empty stomach.

Another most effective way to lose weight is Intermittent Fasting. Actually in intermittent fasting, you follow patterns of fasting and eating hours.

    Few patterns like,

    1. Fasting for 12 Hours
    2. Fasting for 16 Hours
    3. 5:2 Plan
    4. 18:6 Plan

I was searching for methods to lose weight without exercise for you and I found detailed article on Intermittent fasting on myfitmomy blog, I hope it will you a lot. Keep me updated with your progress

    Hi,

1 - Congrats on the child. That’s awesome!

2 - Sorry to hear about the injury.

Honestly, you can lose fat just fine without any sort of training exercise. Diet and macros will be your best friend. I actually just posted a video on my YouTube channel on how I calculate my calories and macros that my girlfriend has been following and doing great. I’ll link my instagram below which contains the link to my YouTube channel.

Regarding exercise, your need to listen to your body. Your body will tell you what it can and can’t do for the most part. Obviously don’t try anything that would put strain on your injury. Try some upper body exercises or some machines that will take the direct strain or your lower back and see how they feel. If they feel fine take it slow and start working them into a routine.

The most important thing is being smart and letting your body heal. As I said you don’t need to train to lose fat but it obviously helps!

Best of luck and congrats again! Feel better!
