Default Diet For Muscle And Rid Fat... Help

First off thanks for any help. I am 44 year old male. 5 feet 9 inches. 235 pounds. Was 260 and did keto for awhile. Now, I know I have to exercise. I want to hit the gym and lift and ride my bike. I want this belly gone. I know there is no magic pill. I need to know what I need to do as far as diet goes, macros, and stuff. Heavy lifting requires protein, but I don't need to overeat with trying to lose this gut. Any help? Many thanks.

Resistance training influences your metabolism by around 66% so you are on the right tract.
I would set your protein around 1 g/lb/bw.
Eat complex carbs in your first meal after lifting to synthesize glycogen for your next workout. The rest of the day concentrate on either low GI carbs or periods of fasting. Once you loose your belly fat, re-evaluate.
Be sure to concentrate on multi joint complex lifts like bench, deadlift, squats, rows and presses.
    Good luck!

Hey! I think you should change your routine and start running or swimming. There is no magic pill you are right, but there are lots of shakes and proteins and other products that you can use and change your life!!! Good luck.
