    4 ways to measure body fat

    Method 1: online calculator

    The network contains a huge number of online calculators to calculate the correct body weight and normal fat mass for you. Calculators use ready-made tables as a base, so the results will be averaged and not entirely accurate.

    Method 2: Lyle MacDonald formula

    There is a simple formula: weight (m) / height (kg) * height (kg). For example, with a height of 172 cm and a weight of 90 kg, the formula will look like this:

    90 / (1.72 * 1.72) = 30.4 BMI

    Data should be compared with the following indicators.

    13-20 - fat mass is 13.5-24%;
    21-30 - fat mass is 25.5-39%;
    31-40 - fat mass is 40.5-54%.

    Method 3: waist to hip ratio

    Using a measuring tape, measure your waist and hips. Then divide OT by OB. Normally, the result should not exceed 0.8. If the indicator is greater - time to reduce the amount of junk food.

    Method 4: weighing method on a scale with a fat analyzer

    This type of balance allows you to check the electrical conductivity of fabrics. Thus, fat tissue has low electrical conductivity, muscle tissue, on the contrary, high.
