    Default Over 65 Bench Training

Just now getting back in shape on the bench. Shoulder issues have put a hamper on weight training.
Decided to just work on my body weight lifts . . . with a goal of 10 reps (195 body weight) by May (68th B’Day).

Currently, up to 3 reps (195 lbs.) in 3 weeks of training. Actually feel good lifting daily. Doing several sets of 10 reps @165 lbs . . . Plan to increase 5 lbs weekly. Do not plan on max lifts due to previous shoulder injury.

I will rest a couple days on weekends. I hope to maintain 10X body weight into my 70’s.

I added a pad on the bar to keep the bar 1” off my chest . . . trying to prevent more shoulder issues.
