    Default Scrutiny’s High Intensity Training Log

    Hi All.

    For those who may not know me, my name is Will and I am a Moderator on this forum and have been for some time.

    I haven’t posted or really logged anything in YEARS, though now I am looking to kick start things back.

    I’ve been training hard, though just lost motivation to log it all.

    So, with all that said - welcome to my new training space.

    Workouts are centred around High Intensity Training, here you will see some techniques such as cluster sets / rest pauses, sets to failure and all in between!

    Some quick stats - 27 years old, male, 225-230 pounds, 12% body fat and approx 13 years training experience.
    Great to be back and hopefully some of you can follow along.

    Thursday 25th June 2020

    Back/Traps/Biceps

    Wide Grip Pulldowns: 3-4 Warm Up / Ramp Up Sets.
    Max Weight x 7, Max Weight x 7

    Smith Machine Rows: 70kg x 10 Top Set. Drop 50kg x Failure

    V Bar Pull Downs: 15 x 12 Cluster Set --> 4 Reps, 4 Reps, 4 Reps

    Seated Rows: 8 x 10. Drop set 5 x 15, 4 x 20

    Smith Machine Shrugs: 120kg x 12 Top Set (Did around 3-4 sets total)

    Cable Curls: 28kg x 12, 28kg x 10-12, 28kg x 8

    Preacher Curls: 20kg x 20, 25kg x 12 Cluster Set --> 5 Reps, 4 Reps, 3 Reps

    Cable Hammer Curls: 12 x 15, 12 x 15, 12 x 15

    Good workout. I'll be listing mainly top sets here and in future so keep an eye out for those.

    Felt strong all around, biceps were toast - you can see they have a bit of volume here as I do not tend to go too heavy on them as contraction/focus/pump is the focus whilst obviously getting to that failure mark.

    Tomorrow is a rest day, with the following day going to be likely cardio + abs.
    Consistency is the key
