Default Ok to lift at 13??

Yeah, I'm only 13. About 5"6, 132 pounds. Trying to lift for performance. I'd like to improve strength. Im moderately active, usually for 4 of 7 days of the week, and a bit more active on the other 3. So would it be ok to lift and take supplements if I do it right?
    Any help is appriciated

Personally I would say wait till 14, and then only at a place where there are qualified coaches for training teenagers..

:O. Ok. Are there any big negatives if I do lift right now?
Oh yeah btw, is it safe to take supplements like protein?

depends for how many reps you go for. But use weight that you dont't go below 8.
as for protein it is best thing you can use, it has no bad side effects. As long as you dont take crazy amounts.

Have a look at this article on training for teenagers

I cant recommend supplements for teenagers but teenagers do take protein supplements..

    Lightbulb 13!!

take it easy for a nother year untill you are 14.just eat protein and carb foods for now..there is nothing wrong with protein shake..good stuff!!

you can start lifting now but go light and get your form right..keep reps 8-10..
